Grief Logger

Grief Logger

A fast mod that uses SQLite or MySQL to log player interactions.

👋Welcome!

Welcome to the official documentation for GriefLogger, your all-in-one logging and anti-griefing tool for Minecraft servers. This wiki contains everything you need to know to install, configure, and master the mod.

What is GriefLogger?

GriefLogger is a powerful server-side mod designed for administrators who need a clear and detailed record of player activity. It silently logs all significant player interactions, from breaking a block to taking an item from a chest, and stores this data in a robust database.

With its intuitive in-game tools, you can instantly investigate suspicious activity, roll back grief without a full server backup, resolve player disputes with concrete evidence, and maintain a secure and fair environment for your community.

Core Features

GriefLogger is built to be both powerful and easy to use.

🔍 Comprehensive Logging

Tracks block placements/breaks, container transactions, item usage (crafting, dropping, consuming), player sessions, chat messages, and commands.

👆 In-Game Inspector Tool

Simply enable /gl inspect and click on any block to instantly view its history. The fastest way to check a specific location for suspicious activity.

🔎 Advanced Lookup Command

Use /gl lookup with a powerful set of filters (user, radius, time, action, item) to perform complex, database-wide searches for any event.

🗄️ Flexible Database Support

Works out-of-the-box with a simple file-based SQLite database, or can be configured to connect to a high-performance MySQL/MariaDB server for larger communities.
